What is Clean Note Policy?

The Reserve Bank of India has taken an important decision regarding the largest currency note i.e. 2000 Notes, according to RBI, the 2000 rupee note will remain legal tender but its circulation will be stopped. The Reserve Bank of India has advised various banks of the country that 2000 Notes Ban 2000 rupee notes should be stopped from circulation with immediate effect. Let us tell you here that the Reserve Bank has taken this decision under the ‘Clean Note Policy’. In the year 2016, after the demonetisation by the Reserve Bank, the Reserve Bank introduced the Rs 2000 note.
