In this, people from weaker sections of the society whose annual family income is up to Rs.120000/- for rural areas and (Manav Kalyan Yojana 2023) up to Rs.150000/- for urban areas to carry out small trades/businesses in 28 trades like feria, vegetable seller, carpentry etc. To increase the economic income of the people, the equipment/tool support required for business is given within the limits of the toolkit list included with the resolutions dated: 11/9/18.

- It is mandatory for rural beneficiaries to be included in the poverty line list of the District Rural Development Department. Beneficiaries with a score of 0 to 16 do not have to submit proof of income. Or
- Applicant’s family income should be upto Rs.1,20,000/- for rural area and up to Rs.1,50,000/- for urban area.Taluka Mamlatdar or Municipal Chief Officer or authorized officer of Municipal Corporation in metropolitan area has to submit income proof. .
Brief information about Manav Kalyan Yojana
Manav Kalyan Yojana was announced by the Government of Gujarat on 11 September 1995 for the backward and poor communities. The plan has been announced in an updated form in 2023.
Under this scheme, backward caste artisans, labourers, petty vendors etc. whose income in rural areas is Rs. 12,000 and in urban areas Rs. 15,000 is up to. They will be financially assisted by the government.
Apart from this additional tools and equipment will also be made available to the low income citizens of the state. 28 types of job seekers will be helped by the government. The objective of the scheme is to improve the economic condition of struggling artisans, laborers and small businessmen and provide them opportunities for self-employment.
